The following is an imagined conversation between my 3 dogs, Penny, Cookie, and Pebbles. View discretion is advised.
Penny: What do you think he’s doing every night?
Cookie: I hope it’s getting ready to get us treats!
Penny: Do you think that’s what his weird light box is for?
Pebbles: You fools, it’s what he uses to do his hand stretches! Without that thing his hands would surely go limp and useless
Penny: That might be true, he does use it on a regular basis.
Cookie: Then what about his loud wood box? Surely he doesn’t need 2 hand stretchers.
Pebbles: That one's not for his hands silly, clearly it has another purpose.
Penny: Oh yeah? Well what is it?
Pebbles: Cearly it’s to keep us on our toes. Everytime he plucks a string the noise is meant to make sure we’re always ready for a fight!
Cookie: A fight?? I don’t want to get into a fight anytime soon, I just want to relax.
Penny: A fight!! I’m always raring for a fight, something where I can let loose!
Pebbles: Well a fight is what we might get one day. Why do you think we bark at every person who enters the house? To keep them intimidated.
Penny: Oh I intimidate them alright, I do a better job at that than any of you!
Cookie: I don’t think my bark is too shabby either!
Pebbles: oh please, the two of you are all bark no bite. That’s the problem with this younger generation of dogs I tell you.
Penny: Oh save the lecture for another day Granny.
Pebbles: Did you just call me granny? To think I’d ever see the day I’m talked to with such disrespect!
Cookie: To be fair mom it’s been over 5 years since I was born.
Pebbles: Oh just shush already. Anyways, it’s time for us to get to sleep. We need to wake him up at 4 again tomorrow that way he can stretch his hands.
Penny: Oh alright.
Cookie: Yes mom.
