Letter of recommendation for something underrated

Everyday life is fast, it’s stressful, it’s hard. It’s easy to forget about all the little things when you’re so focused on a big picture. I find that, because of this, many people have little to no clue about how the very food that they’re eating is being made, or even what’s in it. That’s why today I would like to recommend to all of you something new: baking and or cooking. Even if it’s something small like a batch of cookies, biscuits, tofu and veggies, hamburgers, etc., I think that making the food you eat every now and then can make you feel a lot happier. Sure, at first it may be a little stressful but that’s a consequence of our modern day society undervaluing teaching people exactly how to provide for themselves. Once you get going though, it’s hard to stop. You’ll find that making your own food is one of the most rewarding small things you can do. You’re able to control everything about what you eat, from the ingredients, to the flavors, to the portions, and even to the calories if that’s something you’re concerned about. You can take pride in the fact that the sustenance you are gaining was made by your own hands. Of course not everyone has the time to cook for themselves everyday, but even cooking or baking when you have some free time once a week is a good thing. It helps to relax the mind and keep you happy. All in all, I think baking/cooking is one of the greatest small pleasures in life, and I think that the benefits one receives from it are worth giving a shot.
